KYMBRELLI A. COKER
Kymbrelli is the daughter of Ronald Wright and Marlena Shaw-Wright. She was born in Darlington, SC and is the first child of a family of five children. She is married to Anthony L. Coker who has diligently worked by her side for the cause of Christ.
Kymbrelli confessed her belief in Christ at an early age.
Kymbrelli was educated in the Florence and Darlington County School systems. She attended Winthrop University where she obtained a degree in Music and African American Studies. Later she continued her studies at Liberty University Theological Seminary, Lynchburg, Virginia where she obtained a Masters Degree in Worship Studies.
From a young age Kymbrelli was introduced and exposed to the blessed nature of Music Ministry by her “Uncle Butchie,” who served as musician for his home church. Having sung in the choir ever since she was a youth, Kym took a major interest in worship through music and began piano studies under the tutelage of Mrs. Mary Mack and Keith DaBreu. Upon entering Winthrop University, Kymbrelli made connections with Dr. Carol Quin, and Carlton and Charlette Smalls, who remain mentors in the ministry of music.
Since that time, Kymbrelli has passionately devoted time to increasing her knowledge of God’s Word, developing as a music minister and lending her gifts to various Christian ministries that call upon her service.
Kymbrelli currently serves as Director of Music Ministry at Nazareth Baptist Church, is the founder and instructor of Keys by Kym Music Academy, and as musician for the Southeastern Region of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority. Kymbrelli’s love for history also provides her opportunities to work as a historical interpreter with Historic Brattonsville. In addition, Kymbrelli also enjoys lending a helping hand in the community through her involvement with Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and Order of the Eastern Star.
Her Motto in Life is:
“If I can help somebody as I pass along, then my living shall not be in vain.”
